Week 3 NFL Storylines

Week 3 is already upon us and it is time to look at some storylines we should look for over the week. Let me know which ones you are looking forward to the most in the comments down below!

1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Los Angeles Rams

Two undefeated Super Bowl favorites face off this weekend in Los Angeles. The Rams are an underdog despite playing at home and having the same amount of success the first two weeks of the season. Tom Brady will be playing his first career game in Los Angeles and he might get to play there plenty more times if he keeps playing. The Rams won this matchup last year, winning by a score of 27-24 and they have upgraded at quarterback since then with the acquisition of Matthew Stafford. I think that the Rams will win this game as long as they can get to Tom Brady and rattle him a little, but it seems like no team can ever do that. This game is going to be close but I have to say the Rams will win this one by a score of 28-23.

2. Rookie Quarterbacks

Trevor Lawrence and Zach Wilson have had a bad start to their career with both of them throwing five interceptions in their first two starts. It won't get any easier this week as Zach Wilson will be playing the Broncos and Trevor Lawrence will be playing the Cardinals. It will be interesting to see if these two can bounce back and have solid games to get back on track. Davis Mills is an interesting one that has not gotten much hype. He is getting his first career start against the Panthers after Tyrod Taylor went down with an injury last week. Justin Fields will also make his first career start this weekend as he gets to face the Browns. He has gotten some snaps in the first two weeks, partly because of an injury from Andy Dalton last week. Fields will have to play good to get a win this weekend playing against a really good Browns team. Mac Jones, the most successful rookie quarterback so far, gets to play the Saints in search for his second career win. I believe that he will do enough to get the job and secure the win against New Orleans. Overall, I believe that Jones will be the only one of these quarterbacks that will get a win over the weekend but I think another one could put together a solid performance to pull out a win.

3. Bud Lighticke

After an amzing performance on Thursday Night Football last week, Taylor Heinicke inked a deal with Bud Light. It is crazy to think the he was not even on a NFL team at this time last year and now he could be the next franchise quarterback. He still has a long way to go, but he will get his chance to impress once again this week playing against a tough Bills defense. If he play good again and he keeps the Washington Football Team in the game, he could see himself as the starter even when Ryan Fitzpatrick comes back.

4. 0-2 Battle

The Falcons play the Giants on Sunday and that means one of these two teams will get their first win of the year. The Giants showed some promise last game when they came up short against the Washington Football Team with Daniel Jones putting together a solid performance. The Falcons got beat by the Buccaneers in their last game and Matt Ryan threw two pick sixes. It might end up being a pretty good game but I have the Giants winning this game and I think Daniel Jones will put together another solid performance playing against a bad defense.
