Yet another crazy primetime game in the NFL as the Green Bay Packers beat the San Francisco 49ers by a score of 30-28. It looked like the Packers were easily going to win it early on in this one, but the 49ers made it interesting in the second half.
The Packers went up 17-0 on the 49ers late in the first half an it looked like they were going to run away with it. Then, the San Francisco 49ers had an amazing kickoff return and they followed it up by gambling on the goal line with a touchdown run from Trey Lance as time expired. This gave the 49ers momentum going into the second half and they made it very interesting late.
The Packers took a 27-21 lead late into the 4th quarter, but Jimmy Garoppalo had enough time to possibly make a game-winning drive. Garoppalo made some great throws in the 49ers last drive and it ended with them taking the lead 28-27 on a touchdown pass to Kyle Juszczyk. They had left 37 seconds on the clock and a lot of people knew that would be too much time for Aaron Rodgers and th Packers. They marched down the field very easily and got into field goal range for Mason Crosby to win it. It barely got there, but Crosby hit it and the Packers left San Francisco 2-1.
NFL week 3 ends tonight as the Eagles take on the Cowboys which should be an interesting NFC East battle. We will get to see if the Eagles are contenders or pretenders and whoever wins this game will be in sole possession of first place in the NFC East. It should be another great primetime game tonight and I cannot wait.
