NFL Power Rankings Week 3

We have made it through three weeks of the NFL season. Now is the time where we start to see who the contenders and pretenders are and see who really separates themselves at the top. Here are my week 3 power rankings (top 10), tell me who I am missing and who should be higher or lower in the comments down below.

1. Los Angeles Rams 3-0 (Last Week: 2)

There really should not be any debating this one as the Rams beat the Buccaneers on Sunday to improve to 3-0. This team is built to win a Super Bowl and if Stafford can stay healthy and play at the same level that he is playing at right now, you are going to see this team play for the Super Bowl in February. Stafford has been lights out and is having an MVP caliber season in his first year with the Rams and he might just be getting started. The Rams need to pile up the wins now because their schedule will not be easy by playing in the NFC West, but they are off to an amazing start which puts them at number 1.

2. Arizona Cardinals 3-0 (Last Week: 4)

This one might cause some controversy, but right now, the Cardinals are playing some good football that has led them to 3-0. They had a scare on Sunday when they went into halftime trailing the Jaguars after an amazing play by Jamal Agnew, running back a missed field goal for a touchdown. They have also beaten the Titans and Jaguars, which are impressive wins and that is what propels them to the number 2 spot in these rankings. I think that the Cardinals will not win the division, but they will be right up there in the race with the Rams, Seahawks, and 49ers.

3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2-1 (Last Week:1)

The Buccaneers take a little bit of a fall after their loss to the Rams on Sunday. They got beat pretty bad and their defense has not looked so great in the first three weeks. I was tempted to put them lower on this list but they lost to a really good team and Tom Brady is still their quarterback so you cannot rule them out. I think that they will be fine as long as their defense gets it together in the next few weeks, but if their defense does not play well it is going to put a lot of pressure on Brady to perform well.

4. Buffalo Bills 2-1 (Last Week: 10)

Making a huge leap in this week's rankings are the Buffalo Bills after their dominating win on Sunday against the Washington Football Team. The week 1 loss to Pittsburgh is now looking like a fluke after two dominating wins in the last two weeks. Josh Allen also had a monster game on Sunday which contributed to their high ranking. Allen had two subpar games in the first two weeks and I was beginning to wonder if he was going to take a step back this year, but he proved me wrong with an amazing game. The Bills can be a scary team if Allen is playing good.

5. Cleveland Browns 2-1 (Last Week: 7)

After a dominating win against the Chicago Bears, the Browns find themselves 2-1 and their only loss was to the Chiefs. They should really be 3-0 but they blew the Chiefs game late which they would probably like to have back. Their defense had 9 sacks on Sunday and probably made Justin Fields regret starting that game. The Browns are among one of the contenders in the AFC and they could be a sneaky bet to be playing in the Super Bowl in February.

6. Las Vegas Raiders 3-0 (Last Week: 5)

The Raiders won and improved to 3-0, but they fell in the rankings this week. This is due to some teams that were behind them having better weeks than they did. They squeaked out a win against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday and they had to go into overtime to do it. They should have easily handled the Dolphins who were missing Tua Tagovailoa but they kept the Dolphins in the game until the end. They have a loaded division so they need to rack up these easy wins because the rest of their schedule may not be so easy. The Raiders are the best team in the AFC West through the first three weeks.

7. Baltimore Ravens 2-1 (Last Week: 6)

The Ravens also take a fall in the rankings this week, despite their win. If they did not have a player named Justin Tucker on their team, they would be 1-2 with a loss to the Lions on their record. The Ravens should have blown the Lions out, but they let them stay in it and the Lions almost won it in the last few minutes. Justin Tucker's NFL record, 66-yard field goal saved them from being 1-2 and that is what keeps them in this top 10 because they found a way to win.

8. Dallas Cowboys 2-1 (Last Week: NR)

The Dallas Cowboys are clearly the favorites in the NFC East after their dominant performance on Monday night. Their only loss was against the defending Super Bowl champs and they beat the Chargers who beat the Chiefs on Sunday. This team is going to make the playoffs probably so I will admit I was wrong in my preseason predictions. This team could end up making a run in the playoffs as well.

9. Los Angeles Chargers 2-1 (Last Week: NR)

It is getting hard at this point picking which teams deserve to be placed in the top 10. The Chargers make the top 10 because of their performance on Sunday by beating the Kansas City Chiefs. This team is looking to make a leap in Justin Herbert's second year and they are off to a good start. They are a playoff team but there are a bunch of those in the AFC so we will see if they can sneak in there this year.

10. Tennessee Titans 2-1 (Last Week: NR)

After getting destroyed by the Cardinals in week 1, the Titans now have solid wins over the Seahawks and Colts to get back to 2-1. Derrick Henry is a crucial part of this team and if he keeps running like he is, the Titans will be a playoff team. They squeak into the top 10 this week but it was hard to choose them over the 3-0 Panthers and the 2-1 49ers.
