Monday Night Football started as a competitive game but it did not end that way with the Packers winning 35-17. The Lions came out of halftime with a 17-14 lead but that changed once the rain started in Green Bay leading the Packers to an easy win.
Jared Goff started the game looking like an elite quarterback throwing for two touchdowns in the first half. Aaron Rodgers looked good as well as he threw a couple of touchdowns in the first half too. When the rain started to fall, the Lions started having some problems. Goff fumbled the snap after they went down 11 which put the nail in the coffin. The Lions did not put up any points in the second half which should have never happened. The Lions are now 0-2 and that one hurts because if they could have won it would have been a huge statement win. The Packers improve to 1-1 but they still have some work to do if they want to compete in the NFC. My prediction for this game was not totally off because I had said that the Lions had a chance to win it and they did they just had a few mistakes that cost them.
Next week, we get to watch the Eagles take on the Cowboys in an NFC East showdown on Monday night. It should be interesting to see whether or not the Eagles can hang in there against the Cowboys and show people they can be a threat in the division
