MLB Divisional Playoffs

The divisional playoffs are in full swing for the MLB and they have been exciting so far. Let's take a look at each series and who has the upper hand in the rest of the series. Let me know what y'all think in the comments down below.

Chicago White Sox vs. Houston Astros

This series is already off to a bad start for the White Sox as they find themselves down 2-0 heading into game 3. They will be playing at home for the next two games and they will need to win both to force a game 5 in Houston. The White Sox are in danger of being swept as it seems like the Astros are just the better team. Hopefully the crowd in Chicago shows up for the White Sox and they can get some momentum of their side to send the series back to Houston. The Astros seem to have proved me wrong so far, as I had the White Sox winning this series 3-1. I now believe that the Astros will take care of business in Chicago and punch their ticket to the ALCS.

Boston Red Sox vs. Tampa Bay Rays

This series is very interesting, as it is now tied 1-1 heading to Boston for game 3. The Rays won game 1 on Thursday and the Red Sox won the second game of the series last night. It looked like the Rays might take a 2-0 lead to Boston when they went up 5-2 on Boston, early on in game 2. Boston then went on to score a whopping 14 runs and only allowing the Rays to score six. I still have the Rays winning this series and I believe that it will go five games. Boston could pull off an upset if they are able to win this series, as the Rays are one of the favorites to win the World Series.

Atlanta Braves vs. Milwaukee Brewers

The Brewers beat the Braves 2-1 in game 1 of their series yesterday behind a strong pitching performance by Corbin Burnes. If Atlanta is going to have any shot in this series, they are going to have to score some runs because this Brewers pitching staff is elite. They are going to get face Brandon Woodruff today which is going to be another tough challenge for them. The Braves had a nice run to end their season to win a weak NL East division and I believe that is going to hurt them in this series. The Brewers have great pitching and enough hitting, that they should easily win this series to advance to the NLCS. I have the Brewers winning in four games and they might even get the sweep.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. San Francisco Giants

The Giants have taken a 1-0 lead in this series, after shutting the Dodgers out in game 1. This series is between the two teams that had the highest win totals in all of baseball this year and it is crazy that they are meeting in the NLDS rather than later in the playoffs. What is even crazier, is that both of these teams came from the same division which is rare to see. Whoever loses this series, will have their season come to a disappointing end, I had the Giants winning this series in my playoff predictions and I am going to stick with that prediction as the Giants find themselves in a great spot.
